Surrendering is the Secret to Victory

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6)

Our freedom, our victory, our salvation, though freely received, cost God the very life of His only beloved Son, Jesus Christ. It cost Jesus not only the pain and suffering of a gruesome and gory crucifixion and death, not only all the sins of the world heaped upon Him (past, present and future), but also separation from the Father for the first and only time ever in eternity.

Our salvation is a priceless gift that requires only our surrender to the truth that Jesus is the Son of God, that He is God, that He lived a sinless life, was crucified in our place and rose again to defeat sin, death and Satan...and He will return to judge the world with His perfect justice! Every knee, the Bible says, will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord.

Sadly, for some, the confession will come too late and will entail eternal separation from the Father. During this Advent season, as we approach celebrating the arrival of Jesus at Christmas, take to heart the message that God sent His Son to die for me, for you and for all mankind in hopes of being united for eternity. He made a way where there was none. He offered Himself completely...may we all receive Him completely in the real sense of it so that we will live a life of freedom, redemption and restoration for God's honor, glory and praise.

Surrender, my friends, to the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the secret to our victory; no more, no less. Will you do it today? Surrender has nothing to do with being a member of a church or holding an office in the church.

Romans 10:9 puts it this way,

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Stay blessed,
